Galbiri Childcare & Preschool Centre Inc. believe that in order to provide the highest quality care to the children who attend the Centre, we must first provide a professional, supportive and fun environment for our team to thrive and grow in their Early Childhood Career.  Galbiri Childcare & Preschool Centre Inc. place a lot of importance on facilitating an environment that respects the work/life balance of all of our Educators and we demonstrate this by providing many staff benefits such as: employing three permanent Educators in each of our six age groups, monthly RDO’s, 5 hours non-contact programming time per room, paid professional development, paid CPR and First Aid Training, paid staff meetings and a supportive management structure.

All educators employed at the service are carefully selected through a thorough recruitment process in which training, qualifications and experience within the Early Childhood Education sector are considered.  All Educators are qualified or are working toward an Early Childhood Education qualification and hold a current Working with Children Blue Card and a Senior First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR Certificate.

Galbiri Childcare & Preschool Centre Inc. provide a high quality, government funded Kindergarten Program which is facilitated by Kindergarten Teacher, Tina Stankovich. Tina has her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and has over 27 years experience working with children in the Early Childhood Industry. Tina works alongside two professional & motivated Assistant Educators and together they run an exemplary Kindergarten Program which prepares the Kindergarten children for their big transition to Prep the following year.

Each of our Long Day Care Rooms – Nursery, Tweens, Toddlers, Junior Kindy and Pre-Kindy  – have a Diploma qualified Lead Educator and two Assistant Educators who either hold a Diploma or Certificate 3 in Children’s Services, or are working toward a similar qualification. All of the age groups within the Centre work collaboratively to ensure that the children’s Early Childhood Education, and their transition through the rooms, is as seamless, supportive and stimulating as possible.

In addition to our full-time and permanent room staff, we have a pool of suitably qualified casual educators who regularly work in the Centre to relieve the Educators holidays, RDO’s and sick leave.

Another important role within the centre is that of our Educational Leader, Rhonda, whose job it is to oversee the curriculum and to inspire, motivate, affirm, challenge and extend the practices and pedagogy of our educators.

We also have our own kitchen and provide lunch and afternoon tea which is prepared by our amazing cook Gabby who ensures that your child’s dietary and nutritional requirements are being met whilst cooking up tasty and appealing dishes.
